About / Background
I am a Certified Nurse-Midwife and Registered Nurse with more than 25 years of clinical, academic, and leadership experience in maternal–child health. My clinical background includes hospital-based labor and delivery care as both a registered nurse and certified nurse-midwife in high-volume obstetric settings.
In addition to clinical practice, I have served in academic and leadership roles including Program Director of nurse-midwifery programs at Emory University and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. My work has focused on clinical education, competency assessment, and standards of care in maternity practice.
I am the co-author of a chapter in Varney’s Midwifery (7th edition) and have published and presented nationally on midwifery practice, workforce, and clinical education.

Approach
I provide objective, evidence-informed analysis based on clinical experience, professional standards, and current literature. My role is to evaluate care within the context of what a reasonably prudent nurse or nurse-midwife would have done under similar circumstances.
I offer opinions only within my areas of expertise and maintain independence from both plaintiff and defense perspectives.
